What if your elderly parent needed you to take care of them? How would you do that?
It is estimated that up to 65 million people are unpaid caregivers. They spend an average of 20.4 hours per week providing care — but many are on call 24/7 for elderly parents or a spouse with memory issues.
They struggle to cope with the exhaustion, loneliness, mental and physical demands, and impact on their jobs. They need help desperately!

Knowing how to care for our loved ones is not an inborn skill.
Comforting Arms developed the Family Caregiving Seminar series as part of the Caregiving Academy. The seminar provides a one-of-a-kind, hands-on training class for family members caring for a loved one at home.
Caregiver Training Aids Elderly
“Family members can learn how to provide personal hygiene, maintain proper cleanliness, take vital signs and more,” said Phil Graiser, President of Comforting Arms.
In addition, participants will learn about feeding and special diets, managing medications, handling stress and other caregiving topics.
Unless you are a paid professional caregiver, you may not know how to care for someone at home. Comforting Arms has set up a training lab where you will be able to practice proper techniques for personal care.
Preparing for Our Families’ Future
“Elder care is becoming the top problem in our society today. It is replacing child care issues, for the men and women in today’s work force.” Graiser said. “Already, people are spending more time in the care of their elderly parents than they did caring for their own children. The problem will only magnify with the aging of the population.”
