Vic Reynolds was sworn in as the Director of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation on February 18, 2019. In this role he oversees a Bureau of 900 employees with a budget of over 100 million dollars. Vic was previously elected to 2 terms as the Cobb District Attorney. During his time as DA, he started the Cold Case Unit, the Gang Prosecution Unit, and the Elder Abuse Unit. He was the former Chief Magistrate Judge in Cobb County and began his career as a police officer.
Vic is involved in many civic and social activities. He serves on the Board of Directors at Kennestone Hospital, where he is the former Chair; the Davis Direction Foundation; the Cobb Elder Abuse Task Force, where he is the former Chair; and the Governor’s Task Force on Domestic Violence. He is the author of Georgia Objections at Trial, the 2nd edition of which is scheduled for release in 2019.
Vic and his wife, Holly, reside in Marietta with their Labrador Retriever, TJ. He has 2 grown daughters. Vic is a member of Marietta First United Methodist Church.
